Part of the Rose and Crown in Rickmansworth. Last time I came here it was lovely; the food was dire this time.

The fear
100 years of solitude
Hope street
Men-an-tol
Exodus
Maid of the river
4am
Battle of the beanfield
Forgotten ground
Fantasy
Leave this town
15 years
Sell out
Carry me
Just the One
One Way
Liberty
Dirty Davey
The Riverflow
I found these written on a piece of paper, and assume it was a set list from one of the hundreds of Levs gigs I have been to. I have no idea which one, however, or how I could have remembered them all! Thought it was important to document it here though!
Tuesday
Zizzi in Earl’s Court where I received an overdose of garlic. The service was appalling and charmless, but we had a good evening despite that, before retiring to the pub across the road called the Crosslands which made me feel warm and cosy and like I was in an Ealing Comedy.

Sunday
Strand Palace Hotel after collecting my folks from Heathrow (not terminal 5 fortunately!) for breakfast and then a new route to Wellingborough via Milton Keynes.

Saturday
A shop next to Caledonian Road tube station to escape my colleague Simon's moaning. Then a boot sale in Stoke Poges.
Friday
New things kicked off after work with a trip to the council office car park in Ricky before heading to Camden for an evening of comedy. First bit of humour was at a bar called Bar Uno where the two drinks I bought in "happy hour" and then the toilets made me laugh uproariously. Then we headed to Jongleurs where several pitchers of beer, brilliant comedy from Bob Mills, Stephen Grant and Stu Who, along with a terrible selection from the DJ provided great entertainment.

Wednesday
Sainsbury’s in Watford, where I forgot I was doing something new and bought some Capers too.
Thursday
Did a lame-o thing by trying to get into a new set of men’s toilets at work but thought that was so pathetic that I stopped off at a Church called St Thomas in West Hyde for a quick walk around the graveyard.

Beards all the way - a brilliant and hirsute festival!
Renault Watford and new part of the business park.
Friday
Ashbourne in Derby for the start of the excellent Bearded Theory festival! Started stewarding and then enjoying the bearded Ball! Such a great night (and more to come tomorrow!)
Saturday
The Knockerdown pub interior for breakfast before an action-packed day of stewarding (which started after a sleep!) and then dancing away to Rev Hammer (who I got to open a gate for and tell him how much I liked his voice!), Beetroot Kings, Felicity Kicks and Hobo Jones and the Junkyard Dogs (ok, I missed both of these cos I was helping to park cars in the car park) before the wonderful Three Daft Monkeys!
Sunday
New roads around Derbyshire
Monday
Did something new at work and can’t recall what it was.
Tuesday
Ilford and the Ikea there!

Friday
Driving around south London in my camper van, finally, finally arriving at Badger’s house at 9pm – just in time for dinner! Hadn’t been to his house since he moved in 18 months ago. I am sure that is his fault, not mine!
Saturday
Fantastic sunny new things today as it one of my best Uni friend Steve’s wedding. We dropped Badger in style at his hotel (just before my other friend arrived in his Jag!) and then dropped off my camper van at Broadhembury Holiday Park, which while bearing a resemblance to the place in Carry on Camping, was charming, clean and friendly – although the woman on reception did warn us three times that we must be quiet when we returned.
New things continued by getting a coach to the hotel where everyone was staying, before we re-embarked and went to the beautiful Port Lympne for the wedding and safari. I have developed a new habit of crying at weddings, which unfortunately is not new, but proof still that I do have a heart under this exterior.
The wedding was utterly awesome. Claire, the bride looked amazing, the weather was great, and the entertainment and food could not have been better. Such good company, and fantastic surroundings, it’s one of those days which you wish could last a bit longer.
Sunday
I think we got back to the campsite just after 12am, so my visit to the “amenity block” can count as my new thing for the day, still laughing at how much fun we had on Saturday!
Monday
The only exercise I’ve had over the last few days has been raising my right arm to put a glass of champagne to my mouth, and vigorous dancing on the dancefloor at the wedding. Hello? Did anyone see my fantastic air guitar knee slide across the dancefloor to Queen? So today I decided to walk along the canal to Tesco. Except I got really lost by trying to take a path as my new thing. Ended up, eventually, at the aerodrome before getting to Tesco in a roundabout fashion. Someone asked me for directions on the way home, but ended up pointing me in the right direction! Perhaps I was confused by the “found ferret” sign someone had posted up on a telegraph pole?
Tuesday
Went into a card shop in Chalfont St Peter. Got an email from Jeremy Paxman, but I got one from him before so that doesn’t count!
Wednesday
A beautiful drive through Norwich, onto East Bilney and back through the beautiful Norfolk B-roads!

Friday
Round the back of Harefield Parish COuncil while I waited for my chips from the chippy.
Saturday
Wellingborough's SAinsbury's back exit
Sunday
A very interesting day, which appeared to be full of new things around Leicester (on the day that Leicester City were beaten by Stoke and therefore relegated). I saw the hospital where I was born (therefore not new), the house where I spent my first formative year (therefore not new), and a pub called Molly O'Grady's where there was a really good band on (not new), and also the Corn Exchange (not new, however being thrown out from here was new). I do think that at least some of the streets we drove around weren't there in the 70s, so I'm sure some of it was new; just not sure what!
Monday
Watched a film. Didn't get the name!
Tuesday
Lots of new things round and about Croydon. I'm left with a very favourable impression of the place, no doubt the 30 degreee temperature helped with that!

So frantically busy and tired this week, so a very quick run through of new things!
Wednesday; a road in Ladbroke Grove while I was turning the van around before parking it outside the garage to be repaired.
Thursday: Made an appointment at Hob’s Salon for my haircut
Friday: New bits of Ealing in car
Saturday: Pinewood -not the studios, but the garden centre!
Sunday; Beaman’s whisky
Monday; Knopper bar!
Tuesday: Thanks to my incurable nosiness and love for the detective bloke off Midsomer Murders I noticed they were filming this excellent series near my house, so followed the orange on-location signs right up to some of the trailers. No action though.
Wednesday: Waiting for my massage, and under pressure to find something new I headed onto some housing estate with a really weird name. Dull.
Thursday: An office in one of the branches of my company, and the foyer of the Watersmeet Theatre while waiting for my haircut back at Hobs Salon.
