Monday

Our boss took us to lunch via a shortcut that took us past the famous Bekonscot model village - always wondered where this was!

Sunday

Watched such a rubbish film that I feel violated. "He's just not that into you" - just awful - makes women look needy and ridiculous. AVOID!

Wednesday

New thing was exploring the town of Fakenham in Norfolk, before heading to Norwich and Lowestoft.

Tuesday, 13th September

New thing today was a garden centre in the town of Taversham before heading to my accomodation for the night Wentsum Golf and COuntry CluB! Fab views, a quiet and peaceful swimming pool that I plodded up and down for an hours and nice staff. On the downside, a bizzy, noisy light outside my room, paper thin walls which meant I could hear someone parping next door and a used tissue next to the bed! Slept pretty well though!

Sunday

Climbed to the top of the church in town for a fab view and a tour of the bells!

Saturday

New thing today was the totally amazing Chemmical Decontamination Chamber at Greenham Common - a fascinating glimpse into Cold War Britain. It hasn't been used (fortunately!) since 1989 although many of the processes that took place here had not changed since the First World War.

We had a brilliant, knowledgable tour guide who explained that Greenham Common was in fact an unlikely target for a Russian nuclear strike. Utterly brilliant and I can't wait for next year's Heritage DAy!

After the decontamination centre, I decided to head for St George's Church which has the intention of being the first carbon neutral church in the country. We were given a personal tour of the church and the changes that had been made which were jaw dropping. Solar panels all over the roof and a new ceiling put up in the church and plans to take up the floor and put down underfloor heating....

Friday

New thing today was watching Singing in the Rain! What a fabulous film! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW02c5UNGl0

Thursday

We did our exercise class in another room today, but still in the big parish council Hall. I recall bending over to stretch some sort of leg muscle only to have part of the set of the Lion King in my face!
