Days merging into each other
Is it Tuesday or Wednesday today? This is a question that I've been asking a lot since the baby was born. So I have no idea on which day I did what, but in the last little while, our new things have included lifts to get the buggy up to the second floor of shops in town (where the baby clothes are usually conveniently placed), people's houses for play dates and new rooms of children's centres...

Chinese calendar
Gosh, I am more fashionable that I realised! My mum used to have calendars like this when we were young making looking at the date a whole lot more interesting (and confusing). I did used to keep them and thought they might make an unusual feature wall like the one pictured in this weekend's Guardian magazine.
Sunday
Read most of the book "From Newbury with love" - a collection of letters between a Newbury bookseller and a family from Moldova that he chanced upon through his support of Amnesty International.
Also had friends round for lunch who we hadn't fed before....

TUesday
New thing today was a shop in Sherborne. I can't even remember what it sold.
Wednesday - Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - a classic!
Thursday - Back streets in Basingstoke on my way to Wickes. The McBaby was very taken with Wickes. I wasn't. Particularly as no fewer than seven members of staff watched me carry a baby in one arm and twelve pieces of flooring in the other and not one offered so much as to open the door for me.
Friday - Cara - a new shoe shop in town.
Saturday - New thing was the lift in the library. We were there for National LIbraries Day and I was thrilled that there was an OPen UNiversity stall. Except the guy manning the stall just raised his eyebrows at me and I was too scared to ask for a catalogue of courses. The course I need is "assertiveness".
Sunday - The GUard. My dad has been on at me for ages to watch this film and came up for lunch with the DVD. It's brilliantly witty and very Irish. Think it probably warrants another watch as I'm sure we missed lots of clever stuff.
