Wednesday/Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday

New things were the Inbetweeners, the train to Bodmin, a fabulous painting workshop in Newquay called "Pot-tea Training" and a swimming pool near St Wenn. Then the Curse of the Golden Flower and driving round rural Wiltshire.

Weekend

New things were a vintage fair, a new shop at home, The INbetweeners movie and a trip to the local minor injuries unit!

Vintage fair -

I'm hoping to start my own vintage business so was looking forward to visiting the Blind Lemon Fair in Hungerford. Particularly as there was one in OCtober that got cancelled. And it was definitely worth the wait!

I loved so much stuff but with a small baby simply don't have anywhere to wear this great clothing!

My friend came with me and bought a far fur coat and a gorgeous ring. Fortunately, I had my hands full so managed to hold onto my cash. It was not easy though. Vintage sellers always tend to be a friendly lot so most of them offered to hold the McBaby to free up my hands for a proper rummage!

Consider this skirt. Unusual eh? I nearly bought it but then just couldn't see where I would wear it.

Then, back at home, a new independent bookshop has opened in town called Winstone's. This is a rare, and brave move. Though the staff are a bit charmless, it has a welcoming cafe where I could see myself reading for hours. I bought my nephew an alphabet book and my sister bought the McBaby a fabulous and beautiful book that I'd had my eye on.

offline

It's amazing whar you can achieve when you have no computer or internet. Last week, our new things included:

Basildon Park for a smashing walk on a beautiful Spring day

A walk across a golf course which was very pleasant apart from their spelling of "buggies"

Wagamama in Exeter

Estro in Newbury

Cranfield University where I dropped MrM off to his halls of residence. He had the choice of Mitchells or Stringfellow's Hall. I insisted on the former.

The new M&S cafe in town where a staff member seemed intent on spraying that disgusting cleaning fluid onto the McBaby. I moved tables four times, ending up back at the first.

Wincanton

A service station near Didcot.
